Chief Software Architect

Major Duties:
You will craft and validate the design of Ultra-Large-Scale software systems. You must have a minimum of 10 years experience in the software industry as a software developer, team leader and architect. You will have previously been personally responsible for the full and complete design of complex software systems. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
• Write and communicate in clear and fluent language
• Communicate to large audiences
• Establish and maintain industry status through a professional blog, book authorship, publication of papers, conference attendance and work on standards bodies.
• Design and develop ultra large scale software systems (i.e. major search engine scale)
• Be fluent in computational complexity theory
• Be fluent in systems design and analysis
• Understand and explain the latest academic research and industry practice on distributed systems.
• Coordinate with individual developers, team leads, external partners, in the context of planning environment subject to rapid change.
• Use effectively, and have experience of, a wide-range software development tools, design approaches, methods and philosophies
• Be fluent with the literature of software development, and to have read most of the major works
• Have a relevant academic degree, preferably in the hard sciences
• Still be able to fire up an editor and crank out some code when you just know what you want.
