Senior Developer
Commencement Date: ASAP
Minimum Qualification Required: Degree in Maths, Computing, Engineering or equivalent
You will design and develop innovative and large-scale software systems. You must have a minimum of 4 years experience in the software industry as a software developer. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Write and communicate in clear and fluent language
- Design and develop very large scale software systems
- Deploy and manage distributed systems in a production environment
- Understand and use computational complexity theory
- Understand and explain the application of functional programming techniques to distributed systems
- Understand and explain the application of functional programming techniques to distributed systems
- Coordinate developers across teams and work with external partners
- Use effectively, and have experience of, a wide-range software development tools, design approaches, methods and philosophies
- Be familiar with the literature of software development, and to have read the major works
- Preferably have active community involvement via participation in open source projects, standardisation, blogging, or academic publications
- Preferably have a background in the mathematics of distributed systems and/or statistics
- Preferably have experience in agile development
