TSSG attends International Conference on Computing, Networking and Communication (ICNC), held in Silicon Valley, USA, from January 26–29, 2017.

The conference aimed to bring researchers from academia and industry to present their work, and share results in various technical areas ranging from Cognitive Computing, Social Computing and Semantic Data Mining, Network Algorithms and Performance Evaluation, Wireless Sensor Networks and Communications to Information Security and Privacy.

Representing TSSG, Kriti Bhargava participated in the conference to present their paper titled “Fog-enabled WSN System for Animal Behavior Analysis in Precision Dairy”, in the Wireless Ad-Hoc and Sensor Networks session. The paper discusses the design of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) system for animal behavior analysis. A fog service has been proposed to perform real-time monitoring and analysis of animal mobility patterns autonomously for early detection animal stress as well as provide location-based services such as Virtual Fence applications. The performance of the algorithm has been evaluated in terms of activity classification accuracy using R analysis.
