Personal Summary


Since joining the TSSG in 2005, Sasitharan has worked on a number of Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and HEA PRTLI projects.

Current Activities / Research Interests


Sasitharan is currently the Bio-inspired Research Unit Manager, and the PI for the SFI Project “Biologically inspired framework supporting network management for the Future Internet”. His research interests include bio‐inspired autonomic network management, wireless sensor networking, and molecular/nano-scale communications.

Dr. SASITHARAN BALASUBRAMANIAM received his Bachelor (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) and PhD degrees from the University of Queensland in 1998 and 2005, respectively, and Masters (Computer and Communication Engineering) degree in 1999 from Queensland University of Technology.
