Mike White, Senior Software Engineer
Personal Summary
Mike was awarded a B.Eng (Honours) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick in 1999. He subsequently received a M.Sc. by research in the area of Context-Aware Security Systems after working as a researcher with the Telecommunication Software & Systems Group (TSSG) in the Waterford Institute of Technology.
Mike joined the TSSG as a Senior Researcher in September of 2005. He has successfully worked on several Enterprise Ireland projects including PADIE, Ceartas, FeedHenry and SWAGGER. He also worked on Billing4Rent an EU funded project which provided a SaaS interface to Intec’s Single.eView billing product, a billing product widely used by network providers. As part of his role as a Senior Software Engineer he has accumulated extensive experience in large scale software systems, data mining and billing systems.
From 1999 to 2004 he worked in telecommunications software development and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems development. Mike worked as a software Engineer for Aepona in their contracting division where he was afforded the opportunity to work with various telecommunications firms such a Logica where he worked on their real time billing solution and Ericsson where he worked on the development of their SS7 test bed. He subsequently worked as a Senior Systems Engineer for Kromberg& Schubert, an automotive manufacturing company where he was a senior member of their core development team that designed and developed their in-house ERP product.
