UGetMobile
The UGetMobile project is funding the development of the Zinadoo product. Zinadoo is an online tool that allows users to create, manage and publicise their own mobile websites. The Web 2.0 service allows users to create mobile web-sites and mobile value added services such as SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), blogs, LBS (Location Base Services), video and e-mail. The Zinadoo service will fill a void in the mobile content and services value chain between mobile Operators and end-users.
The project is estimated to be 18months in duration and have a team of seven working on eight work packages. The team will consist of a Principal Investigator, Senior Researcher, Researchers, Post Graduate and one other.
The projects principal objective is to undertake the technology development required to transform the current prototype in a Web and Telecom2.0 service that can be commercially launched.
Other objectives include:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->To work with International project partners such as O2 Ireland, Telefonica in Spain, Vodafone Global in Germany and Cosmote in Greece to validate specific end-user, internationalisation and localisation requirements, and to undertake trials of the service.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->To undertake additional market research with the project partners, and beyond, to ensure that the service meets the full needs of its partners and end-users, and to ensure the success of commercialisation.

The Zinadoo service provides a full solution to end-users, enabling them to take their existing website content and create, deploy and manage new mobile services and mobile websites. Zinadoo focuses on the key aspects of a Web 2.0 application by making it easy to use so that the end user does not need any programming skills or the support of an IT department to get mobile.
Zinadoo is uniquely positioned to fulfil the social networking needs of the end-user and the mobile operator’s need to drive data revenue with easy to use, consumer grabbing services. It also bridges that gap between the mobile operators and the end user by bringing mobile technology services to the community level where it can provide not only a social networking service but a forum for communities to promote and advertise their organisations. As a web-based service, Zinadoo is available worldwide and provides flexible and simple payment options. The service has already built an existing customer base in Ireland, Greece, Germany and Spain.
