Hosting Agreement

Candidates that are resident outside of Ireland may require a Hosting Agreement to work in Ireland.  The Hosting Agreement will be organised by WIT and can take up to a minimum of two weeks.

This applies to Non-EEA nationals whether or not they are currently resident in an EU member state, see steps below:

Step 1: HR sends the Hosting Agreement application to the candidate to complete.
Step 2: Once the candidate returns the application, HR finalise the Hosting Agreement and send the original to the candidate.
Step 3: It takes a minimum of 2 weeks to process the application.
Step 4: The Irish Universities Association process the Hosting Agreement and notify the Immigration Authorities who in turn notify the candidate.
Step 5: Registration – Non-EEA nationals must register with the local immigration officer within 2 weeks of arrival in Ireland.  They will receive a GNIB (Garda National Immigration Bureau) card with an immigration stamp.
