My research interest focuses on future Internet and distributed systems, pervasive computing techniques and Information and Communications Technologies area (ICT’s) with the aim for managing complex services and systems. - Future Internet Architectures and Services. - Pervasive Management and Pervasivasdade Service Deployment. - Policy-based Management for Networks and Services. - Ontologies for Information Modelling and Systems Management. - Next Generation Networks (NGN) and Internet. - Network and Telecommunication Services Management. - Autonomic Architectures and Communications.
My experience comes from my background acquired by actively participating in EU-IST projects and EU-Research Networks of Excellence. To date I have focused my research on Autonomic Communications and Future internet. Specifically Ontologies applied to policy-based management in autonomic communications; Ontology-based information models for controlling pervasive services; the use of Information Technologies (IT) to formally representing and handling information; the use of technologies pair to pair (server-client) and the technology of agents for exchanging information in Future Internet.
