Previous Experience

Mark McLaughlin graduated from Dublin City University with an hons. B.Eng. in Electronic
Engineering in 2000. He was conferred a research M.Eng./Sci. from the National University of
Ireland, Maynooth in 2007, for a thesis entitled 'A Framework for Enabling Distributed
Applications on the Internet'. Since graduating he has worked as a Software Engineer, focussing
primarily in web service design, distributed computing and P2P; and as a technician and system
administrator in an electronic engineering department (NUI Maynooth), with responsibility for
developing and maintaining department IT infrastructure, from desktop to backend server and
network (wired and wireless) configuration.
