Career Details   Robert has over 10 years experience in the engineering of real time and embedded software in the telecommunications industry. Robert worked initially with Tellabs, a major vendor of optical telecommunications technology where he worked on the development of software for an ATM switching system and was responsible for the internal communication architecture. This was modelled on CORBA and involved specification of communication semantics using IDL and subsequent code generation based on this.
Robert later worked for CMG Wireless Data Solutions, where he worked on the development of their WAP Gateway and later their Prepaid Billing System. Robert became Product Manager for their GPRS and content billing system, and was responsible for product specification, developing partnership agreements, intellectual property management and technical sales consultancy.
Robert is now with TSSG and works as a research leader on the EU FP6 Daidalos project and is also involved in managing TSSG’s participation in the ObjectWeb consortium, a European organisation that promotes and manages open source software.
