Research Interests

My research interests are primarily in the domain of communications network management for the future Internet. I am currently researching into policy based management and in particular the use of information model and ontologies for policy conflict analysis. Policy conflict analysis is concerned with detecting policies that may not execute as originally defined, and may infact disrupt the management of the communications network. Processes and algorithms for policy conflict analysis can improve the reliability of policy based management systems, which is of hiegtened importance for the future Internet.

I am working on the FP7 Autonomic Internet (http://ist-autoi.eu/) project which is building a virtual resources overlay on the Internet that has autonomic management functionality.
