 Current Position  
    I am currently employed by TSSG/ WIT as a Research Project Manager and am involved in the following projects: - Think-Trust part of the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Information Society Technologies Programme, within the Unit ICT for Trust and Security and VidAs, Enterprise Ireland's Commercialisation Fund Technology Development Program:
  • Think-TrustThe Think-Trust project is investigating Trust, Security, Dependability, Privacy and Identity from ICT and Societal Perspectives. The project and its Advisory Board (RISEPTIS) will be supported by targeted working groups from the stakeholder and research community that will address focussed issues and questions. These WG will focus on 1) Security, Dependability and Trust in the Future Internet and 2) Privacy and Trust in the Information Society. The overall objective is to formulate recommendations on future policy and research priorities.
  • VidAs, a P2P video on demand system where we are involved in the authentication and encryption work packages.
  • Previous Projects
  • SecurIST This project is co-ordinating the development of a Strategic Research Agenda for Security and Dependability R&D (Steering Committee for a European Security & Dependability Taskforce). See www.securitytaskforce.eu for more details of the deliverables and events that I have been responsible for.
  • ESFORS This project is a Coordination Action that aims at bringing together the European stakeholders for security and dependability Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to address the security and dependability requirements of emerging software service platforms.
  • Knowledge Management initiatives internally in TSSG
  • I have been involved in a number of project proposals for IST SMART, Framework Programme 6 and currently working on Framework Programme 7 that will be evaluated during the summer of 2007.

 Education   Zeta graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology in 1996 with a honours Bachelor of Business Studies degree and subsequently graduated with a Masters of Business Studies (through research) in Knowledge Management in 2006

Having graduated in 1996 with a Degree in Business and before joining TSSG/WIT in the Autumn of 2005 I have gained 10 years industry experience within systems and finance areas, with the following companies:

  • Nua, Dublin, Ireland - content management software provider -shut down in 2001 - 6 months in 2000

  • WestPac Sydney, Australia - 8 months in 1999

  • Skillset

    I have strong technical and management skills which have adapted according to business priority. These include; Project management, SQL, data analysis, requirements management, Automated testing (WinRunner/TestDirector), advanced excel/word/powerpoint, mind mapping applications, MS visio, html, technical report writing.
