FAME – Federated Network Management is a Strategic Research Cluster (SRC). This Research Group develops autonomic management solutions incorporating new semantic analysis techniques, that can be applied to build federated network and service management systems that understand changes in the environment and coordinate their actions to reconfigure network resources and services to effectively deliver services on an end-to-end basis.

Research Topics include:

• Federated Communications Service Management:Federated Meta-Management, Federated Semantic Mapping
• Service Monitoring and Configuration: End-to-end Service-Level Monitoring, Business-driven Network Configuration.
• Network Infrastructure Self-Management:Reusable Self-Management Reusable Self-Management, Coordinated Self-Management.
