This webinar looks pretty interesting - many of the challenges we've seen in European research in security has been in the non-technical areas of legislation and citizen knowledge. The sub-session on cyber security legislation should provide much sought clarity in this area and the privacy in social networks may be an eye opener for some internet users!

This webinar was quite informative and enjoyable. I did have problems getting connected at first and I missed the opening ten minutes. The GoToMeeting system requires an installation on the client machine and there is no Linux version. As a passive client I don't see the need to require users to be installing software (an .exe) to view a webinar. I got around the Linux issue by using VirtualBox with WindowsXP on top. This worked quite well indeed.
Issues with geo-location and the security of other context aware services featured prominently across the talks. E-Health and the privacy of shared information is not only of personal concern, but also of professional interest. Data breach notification laws while numerous and quite diverse seem to have a common set of requirements; complying with the 'stricter' legal requirements in one jurisdiction will often cover an organisation for other legislative requirements in data protection laws.
