Cybersecurity & Privacy Forum & CSA project attend Cloud World Forum 2015

world cloudWaterford Institute of Technology, Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (TSSG) represented by 2 projects  Cybersecurity & Privacy Forum (CSP Forum  funded via SecCord EU funded CSA project)and IPaCSO EU funded CSA project, attended and exhibited at the Cloud World Forum 2015, London 24-25th June.

With their joint exhibiton located in the dedicated security zone (G205), this proved to be a prime and opportunistic event and location to disseminate EU funded success stories and the IPaCSO ICT Security Innovation Framework to a wider community of interested parties, going beyond the normal EU Trust and security research community.

The CSP Forum responsible for collaboration, networking and creating synergies amongst EU funded trust and security research projects, actively promoted the successful stories and innovations coming from this research domain. Supporting the clustering community CSP forum as part of the exhibition promoted the following EU funded cloud focused trust and security research projects (SecCord,A4Cloud,PRISMACLOUD,SPECS,TREDISEC,CUMULUS,TRESCCA,WITDOM).

IPaCSO core main objective is the creation of an Innovation ICT security Framework. The Framework Requirements intends to identify a set of innovation requirements necessary to develop an appropriate and responsive framework for supporting innovation needs around PACS products/services. This will leverage existing innovation best practices and will be driven and validated by extensive PACS stakeholder engagement. IPaCSO utilised this valuable opportunity for knowledge transfer and promotion of the Innovation framework to this extended group of stakeholders.

Exhibiting to this important event provided many new opportunities for both projects to go beyond the normal community that they participate and disseminate to on a regular basis, creating new and valuable contacts for greater impact.
