Working on – I am currently researching in the field of Fog Computing, which aims to provide intelligence at the edge of the network, based on QoS (Quality of Service) requirements. Various areas such as Agriculture, Dairy Farming can get benefit from this by seamlessly leveraging Fog and Cloud resources, which in turn reduces the operational costs for providers and pricing utility cost for users by a significant margin.

The main challenge facing the Ag/Dairy industry in Ireland is Having a proper integration with the tech industry— to be on the same page and getting mutual benefit from each other for a greater benefit.

My vision for the future of the Ag/Dairy industry is An active and viable interplay in utilizing resources with maximum efficiency using the Internet of Things (IoT) and related high end technology for not just solving the problems in the Ag/Dairy industry, but also to make the mundane day-to-day tasks in the sector easier and faster.

Smart Agri is seamlessly integrating technology into the Ag/Dairy sector to reap maximum benefit from the resources at hand.  To not just solve the problems, but also improve. To not just prevent, but also be able to predict.
