Personal Summary

Mohit Taneja is currently pursuing Masters in Computer Science at TSSG in the Department of Computing and Mathematics, Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland. He is working as a part of the Science Foundation Ireland funded CONNECT Research Centre, which has different industry partners associated with it. In 2014 summers [May –July], he did his summer internship at ArcelorMittal, Kazakhstan where he worked as a member of the Network Infrastructure management team on their ongoing project of Cloud Deployment and Network Security.

Current Activities / Research Interests

He is currently working on a Connect-IBM project which focuses on helping Dairy farmers by detecting early lameness in cattle with the help of technology, it involves the study of Wireless Sensor Networks, Software defined Networking, IoT (Internet of Things), data analytics, smart agriculture and precision farming. His research interests include IoT (Internet of Things), Fog Computing, Cloud computing, Network and System Security
